Worthington ES Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Program
Worthington ES is committed to providing a positive learning environment for students and a wonderful workplace for staff. In order to promote such an environment, Worthington ES participates in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), which is the foundation of our Worthington PAWS behavior program:
P-Prepared, A-Always Kind, W-Working Hard, and S- Being Safe.
As part of the PAWS behavior program, students and staff are rewarded with PAWS PATS for demonstrating positive behaviors in school. The students and staff are acknowledged each afternoon during PM announcements. Beginning this year, students will be rewarded PAWS Postcards for every 3 PAWS PATS with a special digital message from Ms. Mosby and Mr. West, via the Aurasma app. Directions on how to access the message will be provided on the backside of the postcard. Students will also receive a positive phone call to parents for every 6 PAWS PATS.
The students and staff have really embraced this program and we thank each family for helping to support this initiative by reviewing the PAWS behavior program and expected learning behaviors in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria and playground.
