It is my honor to inform you that on Monday September 23rd at 1:00 pm, Worthington Elementary School was announced as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon and a 2024 Maryland State Blue Ribbon School. This is truly a historic announcement for our school community. I am so proud of all of your efforts as well as the efforts of our students and staff. You should feel a real sense of accomplishment, as there are so many wonderful reasons to learn and work at our school. We will now begin planning to recognize our accomplishments in a year long celebration.  I want to thank our wonderful application committee for their hard work in creating our award winning application. I remember in 2004 when I had the chance to make this same announcement to our staff and community at Centennial Lane. Everyone connected with the school , both past and present, felt a sense of pride in the school. You are now a National Blue Ribbon School parent and your children are National Blue Ribbon School students. Congratulations to every one of you. My compliments to a fantastic staff who help your children to grow.
