Hello Worthington Community, my name is Bob Bruce and I am the principal of Worthington Elementary School. I am thrilled to be a part of this community. I have been an elementary school principal for over 30 years. The last sixteen years were spent down the street at Veterans Elementary as their principal. Prior to Veterans, I spent close to seven years at Centennial Lane Elementary and prior to that about 4 years at Clemens Crossing. I have also spent 5 years as a principal in the Carroll County School System. I started my teaching career at Talbott Springs Elementary back in 1978. I have been a classroom teacher, team leader, curriculum writer, and an assistant principal. I live in Columbia with my wife, Judy. We love Orioles baseball and Ravens football. Thank you for the warm welcome and I am proud to be a Worthington Wildcat!

Hello! My name is Jayme Brewrink and I am thrilled to be joining the Worthington Elementary School Community as your new Assistant Principal. I began in Howard County as a student at Patapsco Middle School and graduated from Centennial High School. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park and earned a Masters in Education and Certificate in Administration from Johns Hopkins University. I began my teaching career in HCPSS as a first and second grade teacher at Swansfield Elementary School and have since taught third and fourth grades at Forest Ridge Elementary School, served as the administrative intern at Waterloo Elementary School and have been Assistant Principal at Running Brook Elementary and Gorman Crossing Elementary School. At home, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two elementary age children, reading, being active, traveling, and going to my kids’ soccer games, swim team, and baseball games. Please stop by and introduce yourself! I am so excited to work with you and your children and can’t wait to get started at Worthington Elementary School.
